Many years ago when my son was a little boy I introduced him to the artist, Georgia O’Keefe and focused on her flower paintings. She wanted the world to see these beauties through her eyes.
As special occasions came to pass my little six year old son made me a copy of a Georgia O’Keefe flower just like the one below…I still have that framed piece of art that warms my heart many years later.
Below you will find watercolor on paper of the Rotunda at the University of Virginia, the print box O’Keeffe used for years, and Bella Donna oil on canvas, 1939.
When you are in the southwest make time to visit the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, NM. https://www.okeeffemuseum.org
