Zagreb – the national capital, the city’s historical center and St. Mark’s church – just to name a few must-see’s while visiting this town.
Plitvice National Park and Split – a few hours drive between Split and Plitvice National Park (Plitvice lakes were entered in the UNESCO register) – this journey is a must-do in my humble opinion. Split sits on the Adriatic Sea with a historic center of town built around the Diocletian palace.
Hvar– Sunniest island in the Adriatic with a city center close to the harbor. Charter a small boat, drop anchor and enjoy the sea. Stay overnight prior to heading back to Split.
Korcula – City known for the birthplace of Marco Polo and one of the best preserved medieval towns in the Mediterranean.
Peljesac Peninsula – Vineyards and olive trees, what is not to love?
Dubrovnik – timeless walled city with Franciscan Monastery and the oldest pharmacy in Europe. George Bernard Shaw stated, “if you are seeking paradise on earth, it is Dubrovnik.”
