Ston, just 33 miles northwest of Dubrovnik, has been an important salt-producing town since the Republic of Dubrovnik. The salt pans were essential to Dubrovnik’s wealth and they are still operating today.

Amsterdam, a city on canals, delights all the senses. It is a great city to start and complete your journey through Europe. On our way back from Split, Croatia we stayed at the Conservatorium Hotel, Amsterdam.
