This past weekend we decided to take a drive to Virginia Wine Country and were thrilled when the Inn at Willow Grove had availability for us.  We booked the Loft Room and upon arrival were upgraded to the Master Suite. The Master Suite has a fireplace, a private balcony, heated bathroom floor, soaking tub, and a sitting area. All the amenities were divine, however, our stay was elevated by the warm welcome and generous hospitality we experienced at the Inn at Willow Grove; we will always remember how they made us feel—at home and welcome.

The Inn at Willow Grove in Orange, Virginia, has a long and storied history that dates back to the early 18th century. The property was originally owned by Thomas Marshall, who had it built as a tavern for travelers in 1730. It became a popular destination for travelers, including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and other notable figures of the time. In 1829, the property was purchased by the Carter family and became known as Willow Grove Inn. The property was originally built in 1778 as a plantation home for a wealthy Virginia family. Over the years, the property changed hands several times and was used for a variety of purposes, including as a hospital during the Civil War. In the early 20th century, the property was purchased by a prominent Virginia businessman who converted it into a country inn. The inn became a popular destination for travelers seeking a peaceful retreat in the Virginia countryside. In 2010, the property underwent a major renovation and expansion, adding modern amenities while preserving the historic charm of the original building. Today, The Inn at Willow Grove offers luxurious accommodations, fine dining, and a range of activities and amenities for guests to enjoy. It has become a popular destination for weddings, corporate events, and romantic getaways.The Inn underwent several renovations and expansions over the years and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is a popular destination for weddings, retreats, and special events.
